The Bidens at the funeral of Senator Ted Kennedy

I hope Jill is feeling better- the cast looks quite painful!

DAYUM she has fine looking legs. Oh my God, I am ridiculously gay and shallow. Please excuse me.

Right there with you, honey.

I had forgotten somehow that shoulder surgery = cast. I do hope she's not in pain, and that her fella's treating her extra-special well during this rough patch. Ow.

Also, RIP Ted K.

I know I'm not alone but it seems kinda inapropriate. But I can't help myself! lol

Her fella is for sure treating her extra-special! He's Joe Biden!

Yup :(

Jill has amazing legs, and I like her bracelet and clutch. How did she hurt her arm.

As for Kennedy, I don't get all the mourning. Has no one forgotten Mary Jo Kopechne?

She had surgery on her shoulder about a month ago. I'm pretty sure it was for chronic pain, but don't quote me on that...

Nobody can forget Chappaquiddick, but I think most people have forgiven Ted for the life he was responsible for 40 years ago. It was an accident and a serious human mistake. Even if you can't look past his personal failings, it's at least appropriate to celebrate his public achievements.

Failing to alert authorities right away speaks volumes of a person's character (cowardice, self-preservation). What keeps me disliking him is that you never know if those incredibly important parts of one's character have changed or stayed the same.

He then plead guilty to not reporting, and leaving the scene of the accident, accepted his culpability in Kopechne's death, and never denied his culpability for the rest of his days. Those are markers of character, too, all of which were reflected throughout his life, before and after Chappaquiddick, and in both his private and political life.

Shoulder surgery, AFAIK. Though I keep mixing her up with Hillary Clinton, who I think broke something arm-related a while back?

Yep, I believe Hillary shattered her elbow or something D:

Hillary broke her elbow after a fall at the white house

I think it was wrist or elbow (aha, other posters say elbow)--I remember coz there were pics up on LJ of her in a cast. Joking with Biden, I think...
